| Abstract: | Waste continues to provide opportunities for councils and the private sector to develop new and improved solutions to address both waste management and deliver positive economic and environmental impacts for communities. However, it is important that the contractual frameworks for waste management recognise the long term drivers for deploying capital and also provide flexibility to enable innovative solutions to changing needs. In this session, Ren Niemann will explore some key contractual tips and traps in how to best support waste management objectives including: • Key contract structuring considerations • Managing interfaces between services and infrastructure • Enhancing performance and managing behaviours • Circular economy impacts |
