Queensland Councils have utilised Local buy's BUS270 Road, Water, Sewerage & Civil Works Arrangement to carry out over half a billion dollars' worth of construction projects since 2019. 70 of the 77 Queensland Councils have used the Arrangement to carry out a wide range of civil works from road and bridge construction and aerodrome resurfacing to flood mitigation and water & sewerage plant upgrades. BUS270 will be replaced by two new construction Arrangements in 2024, for (1) Road and General Civil Construction, and (2) Water, Sewerage and Stormwater Infrastructure. The presentation will provide Council Engineers with an outline of the scope of each new Arrangement and an introduction to the new Construction Contracts and other support documentation that has been produced to assist Councils to conduct their procurement processes.en_US
