| Abstract: | An agreement struck this year between NATSPEC and AustStab will see the two organisations collaborate on the development and publication of a more comprehensive set of AUS-SPEC pavement stabilisation specifications. The current AUS-SPEC specification 1113 and related technical notes will be significantly enhanced and reviewed annually by both organisations to ensure they reflect the latest innovations and best practices in stabilisation of pavements, particularly ensuring alignment with state road authority and Austroads guidelines where relevant and also to ensure practical and economic outcomes for local government. This paper will outline the changes introduced to the new AUS-SPEC stabilisation specifications and related technical notes in addition to providing insight to sustainability and resiliency benefits available to local government through utilisation of pavement recycling and stabilisation |
