Defects arise on every project, but some defects issues are more concerning than others, and can substantially impact the project. This paper will explore how to address significant defect issues from a contractual viewpoint, including the principal’s rights in respect of defect rectification during the contract, and also in respect of latent defects after the Final Certificate has been issued. Notices and actions to be taken by the Superintendent will also be addressed.en_US
