dc.description.abstractMareeba Shire Council is undertaking an $18 million upgrade to the Mareeba Airport through grants of $5 million from the Australian Government and $13 million from the Queensland Government. An upgraded Mareeba Airport will provide an alternative to Cairns Airport for activities such as pilot training, aircraft maintenance and general aviation, resulting in catalytic economic benefits for theboth the Shire and Far North Queensland.en_US
