Originating from a bona fide success story in regional collaboration, the ADAC (Asset Design - As Constructed) initiative has now been around for well over ten years. Born from a similar need amongst stakeholder councils to better manage asset registration, valuation, maintenance planning and risk management of new assets, the project has continued to grow as more organisations recognise the rewards potentially on offer. While benefits are irrefutable, a successful implementation has a number of challenges to be overcome. With the process directly impacting external asset providers as well a broad cross- section of internal parties, planning and preparation is paramount.en_US
