The 2007 study tour visited the local authorities of; The city of New Rochell on the outskirts of New York, Birmingham City Council and Woking Borough Council. A short visit to a waste disposal facility in Mainz, Germany concluded the tour. The official start of the tour was the 2007 APWA (American Public Works Association) Congress in San Antonio, Texas. As will all things Texas, bigger is better! What an eye opening show, world class keynote speakers, excellent technical papers and enjoyable Texan entertainment were the highlights.en_US
